About Bob Shire
Since graduating in 1969 Bob’s career to-date spans more than 40 years in a wide variety of companies ranging from small start-ups to major international enterprises. Although very much a sales and brand marketing specialist Bob’s functional expertise also covers finance and M&A activity (including the management of joint-ventures), franchising, employment, logistics, general management and multi-functional team leadership. Bob is also an accredited commercial & civil mediator.
Current Activities
- Director of Shire Partners International. Business development and consulting assignments working with clients based both in the UK and abroad (2000 to date).
- Managing Director and major shareholder of Joulesave Limited, Europe’s leading manufacturer and supplier of energy-saving radiator panels. (2008 to date)
- Founding partner of Life Harmony Partners, the Personal Coaching business of Bob’s wife, Jane. (2003 to date)

- Managing Director of Today’s Womencare Ltd working with US-based partners bringing health and personal care products to the European market (2002-2008).
- LRC Products Ltd 1994-2000 (division of London International Group plc now part of Reckitt Benckiser).
- Managing Director of Wiggins Teape Paper Ltd 1989-93, which at the time was UK’s largest paper merchant (now part of Antalis Group).
- Johnson & Johnson (J&J) 1972-88, the leading global healthcare company. Several UK and internationally-based commercial and general management assignments.
- Graduate training 1967-71 with Glaxo (now GlaxoSmithKline), Wilkinson Sword and Masius, Wynne-Williams advertising agency.
